Welcome to our Jr. Rifle Page

The EESA junior rifle program is open to members as well as to the general public.

This program is offered on Friday nights commencing at 6pm starting on the first Friday in January and ending at the end of April. The club provides several club owned .22 rimfire rifles for use as well individuals can provide their own appropriate models (aperture sights are required). Shooters are provided training in the safe handling and firing of firearms and can compete on various levels to obtain progressive badges.

Past Junior members have competed with distinction in both the Ontario and Canada Games. A $10 fee includes both targets and ammunition for junior members.  Junior memberships are $10 and include a periodical newsletter. Age limitations are 8 to 20 years of age. Several certified coaches are present at each event to ensure both the safety and training of the participants. Several of our junior members are selected each year to participate at local and national competitions including the Canada Winter Games. Five have become members of the Canadian National Shooting Team and represent Canada Internationally!

EESA is justifiably proud of the success of this program, which has generated several medalists over the years.
